Organizational Objectives and Mission:
Our organization aims to promote and improve the quality of life of individuals, through excellence in therapeutic activity interventions within the long term care continuum. We offer appropriate educational experiences, specifically directed to the Activity Profession in healthcare. We communicate and offer information related to activities, on current issues and trends in the profession. Furthermore, we develop working relationships with allied professional groups, consumer organizations, regulatory agencies and provide representatives in order to enhance and promote quality service. Our organization also monitors pertinent legislative matters and represent the New Jersey Activity Professional on a State Level where we promote public awareness of the scope and realm of the Activity Professional. All in all, we encourage the advancement of certification and professional growth within its membership through recognized certifying bodies such as the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
