Objective

  • To promote and improve the quality of life, through excellence in therapeutic activity interventions within the long term care continuum.
  • To promote and offer appropriate educational experiences, specifically directed to the Activity Profession in healthcare.
  • To communicate and offer information related to activities, on current issues and trends in the profession.
  • To develop working relationships with allied professional groups, consumer organizations, regulatory agencies and provide representatives in order to enhance and promote quality service.
  • To monitor pertinent legislative matters and represent the New Jersey Activity Professional on a State Level.
  • To promote public awareness of the scope and realm of the Activity Professional.
  • To promote certification and professional growth within it membership through recognized certifying bodies such as the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.

To develop working relationships with allied professional groups, consumer organizations, regulatory agencies and provide representatives, in order to enhance and promote quality service.
