Awards Dinner 2004

NJAPA Awards Dinner
Awards Committee Sandra Stimson, Awards Chair

The NJAPA awards dinner was an exciting and memorable night for all who attended. We were honored to have two very distinguished quests at the awards dinner.

William ConroyMr. William Conroy, Assistant Commissioner with the Department of Health and Senior Services and Sara Tomi, Director of The New Jersey Office on Volunteerism. Mr. Conroy opened the awards dinner with an uplifting and inspiring speech on the value of activities for residents residing in long-term care settings and adult day care.

This was the first year that we had the Volunteer of the Year award. As we all know the value of the volunteers in our health care facilities and adult day care this was a very important award and long overdue.

This year, we were excited to receive so many nominations and the awards committee had an extremely difficult time selecting winners for each category. The awards committee is comprised of the following NJAPA members:
Rhonda Brand – Daughters of Miriam, Carol Cohen Consultant, Marsha Lasko – NJ Veterans Home, Joyanne Franklin – Roosevelt Care Center.
